I enjoy exploring dichotomies in my work - how something can be both elegant and easygoing, understated yet exuberant.
I live and work on the west coast of Canada with my husband and pup.
I founded the namesake brand JACOBA JANE in 2019. I always knew I wanted to design clothing, but it took a few years of trial, error and soul searching before I decided that I wanted to focus solely on silk garments that have a feminine, understated elegance.
The world is so saturated with clothing brands that I had to ask myself "what do I care enough about that it will be worth putting into the world?" and the answer was something that stood the test of time (simple, classic silhouettes) with an unprecedented focus on quality fabrics and construction. These values guide my work and provide a roadmap for each collection.

I vowed to dedicate my brand to being known solely for making the very best silk pieces.
